Bio

Bubba Frichter is entering his eighth season as the head baseball coach for Enterprise State Community College.

During his time at Enterprise State, Frichter has taken the Boll Weevils to the ACCC State Tournament, developed 41 players that have moved on to play at four year colleges, and has had one player drafted into the MLB.

In the classroom, the Boll Weevils have had numerous players named on the Commissioner’s Honor Roll and also coached 4 academic All-Americans.

Prior to taking the job at Enterprise State, Frichter has coached at Tri-County Academy in Flora, Mississippi, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Pensacola State College, Elba High School, and Troy University. During his one year at Tri-County, Frichter directed the baseball program to an AA state championship and was also awarded the MAIS AA coach of the year award. Over the course of his sixteen year coaching career, Frichter has witnessed sixteen of his former players move on to professional baseball, with four of them reaching the MLB. As a player and a coach, Frichter has been a part of six championship teams ranging from conference championships to national championships.

Born in 1985, Frichter is a Dothan, AL native. He graduated from G.W. Long High School and played collegiately at Enterprise State, Wallace-Dothan, and Stillman College.

Frichter’s coaching style focuses on hard work and discipline while also creating a family environment that players can thrive in. When not on the baseball diamond, Coach Frichter enjoys spending time with his family and enjoying the great outdoors. He and his wife Shelby of eleven years have two sons, Beau, and Brady.
