Fans Not Allowed at Fall Contest
The Enterprise State athletic department and administration voted unanimously to not allow fans at fall scrimmage games. The ongoing Covid-19 epidemic has many schools erring on the side of caution to avoid a potential outbreak. The Boll Weevils are one of thirteen ACCC institutions that will not see spectators allowed at games. With Boll Weevil athletics not competing for a championship during the fall season, its all about keeping athletes safe and allowing them to have this time to develop and compete. Director of Athletics Jeremaine Williams had this to say about the decision: "On behalf of the entire state the Covid Cases are on a decline, the athletic department wants to ensure that athletes stay safe during this time and are allowed to have a spring season. Our goal is to get our teams through the fall so that we can have games and spectators during the spring seasons. We will reevaluate after the first of the year to ensure player and fan safety." The Boll Weevil athletic department is looking at potential options to allow its teams to stream fall contest so that fans can follow their favorite teams.
